This is what an empirical paper generally looks like in psychology, cognitive science, and neuroscience. However, the specific sections and their order can vary from journal to journal and research field to research field.

What did not fit into the comic were the acknowledgments. These contain thanks to people who supported the study, e.g. researchers who counseled the authors or student assistants who helped with data collection. This is also the place to find whether the study was supported by external funding, e.g. funds from the government or industry cooperation. In newer papers of some journals, there is also a contribution section. It is a detailed list of what part of the paper was done by which scientist.

Some papers have additional sections, such as the appendix and the supplements. The appendix shows additional results that did not make it into the results section, e.g. larger tables of results or side analyses that were not the main focus of the research questions. In the supplements, you can find further materials, e.g. the computer code for the experiment or the stimuli.
